Will Call Of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Be A System Seller?

We had a Call Of Duty game for PSP if you recall. Roads To Victory. Hell, it even had the beloved multiplayer mode everyone went nuts for. But it didn't have a big impact, it was released before Call Of Duty 4 hit the scene and changed everything. Now, we've got a Call Of Duty Vita game being released right along the console counterparts as a part of the official Black Ops series. Seeing just how popular Call Of Duty is, the question remains: Will Black Ops Declassified be a system seller?

Resistance: Burning Skies has officially pulled off being the first handheld dual analog FPS, but common complaints include the lack of an overall multiplayer component that's worth continuous play, and a lackluster story, among others. Black Ops: Declassified may not be the first dual analong handheld FPS, but it very well could be the first good one.

We don't have many details, and the name hints at something that will be different than a direct copy of what the console counterparts will feature. Whether this is an entirely different campaign or what remains unknown, but we do know the game will have multiplayer. Let's be honest, if this game can deliver the successful, beloved Call Of Duty multiplayer experience on a handheld device, it has the potential to be a game changer, despite the Vita's success, or lack thereof.

It's not safe to assume one way or the other yet, but I believe it's perfectly reasonable and logical to say, provided Black Ops Declassified isn't a poor or average game that mirrors only a very vague resemblance to the much-loved multiplayer component of Call Of Duty, it could very well become a system seller. Bundles, more marketing, if Black Ops Declassified is the experience Call Of Duty fans are after on a handheld, there simply isn't a game with more potential.

What do you think? Will Black Ops Declassified fade away into obscurity as a mediocre FPS in its own right? Will it finally be the handheld Call Of Duty experience fans want? Will it be a system seller? Let me know in the comments, and as always, thanks for reading!
