Sony getting ready for E3
Last week, SCEA revealed the list of titles that would be on display at E3 this year. Most all of the big-name games are there - Killzone 2, Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, etc. - but one is missing: God of War III.
Granted, it's most certainly coming out later than the aforementioned "Big 3," but a recent European rumor says the third entry in the fantastic franchise will indeed make an appearance at E3 2008. The quote in question is a translated one, and although it's rough, it's making the Internet rounds at lightning speed:
"Sony Computer Entertainment disclosed, throughout the Interactive event and Digital Entertainment Festival that is to elapse in Paris, that God Of War III goes to be presented in the E3. The company did not want to give many details, but probably, no longer next month to July, we will go to know the first details and to see the first trailer of so waited game."
As far as we know, GoWIII won't arrive until the end of next year, which means it's far more sensible to assume we'll see it at E3 2009. However, perhaps SCEA has a little surprise up their sleeves this year; it may not be a huge unveiling or a series of big announcements, but we may indeed learn something new about the game. Here's hoping!
