PS3 to have 380 Games by March 2008?
Well it looks like Sony is giving out some postive notes for there next-gen console the Playstation 3 as Reuters is reporting that the president of Sony Computer Entertainment, Kaz Hirai, has stated that by March 2008 the PlayStation 3 will have a total catalgue of 380 games. This will be a solution to the current slump in sales the PS3 is currently seeing worldwide. Apparently Kaz only just realised that having actual games to play might persuade more people to pick up a system. Now if you have to remember out of those 380 games there is going to be quite a few titles that will also be played on the Microsoft console as well. This news means there is light on your PS3 console and Sony is starting to make moves in bringing the games that gamers and fans of the console want.
Now the current plan for Sony is to release 200 titles in shops and 180 downloadable from the PlayStation store. Hirai states that there are currently 60 titles in stores and 50 downloadable. Which if you think about it right now it must be a combine of all regions like USA, UK and Japan. If the software library really does almost quadruple in less than a year, then the PS3 will have no problems selling worldwide. I know for a fact sales of the PS3 console will grow you are just seeing the start of a console that will be making moves this xmas into next year. It just has been a hard time for the early buyers of the console seeing there 600.00 machine be in a serious drought where you are getting one game a month and it is not a blockbuster more of a game coming from a movie. So it has been hard for PS3 fans and just gamers overall. So hopefully this drought of games will come to a end for the console and you will start seeing a steady flow of games rolling in to your local game stores. In conclusion PS3 owners have something to look forward to in the next upcoming weeks to months with releases of The Darkness, Rainbow Six Vegas, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Super Stardust HD. So start reserving and saving some money because you will be start seeing some big titles heading over to your PS3 really soon.
