Nintendo release new titles for the fall

In advance of the E3 Media & Business Summit in July, Nintendo has announced several of its new titles for its U.S. late summer and fall release schedule, including Wario Land: Shake It!, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir.

The three new games join Mario Super Sluggers, which is scheduled to ship on August 25 for the Wii. As with Wii Sports, this baseball title allows players to pitch and swing their bat using the Wii remote. Mario Super Sluggers builds on Wii Sports, however, with a full-fledged baseball experience boasting over 30 playable Nintendo franchise characters.

Launching September 29, Wario Land: Shake It! (pictured) takes its titular character back to his 2D side-scrolling roots on the Wii. Players use the Wii Remote sideways for more traditional controls, but can also shake the Remote to help Wario take down enemies, empty bags of treasure, or cause earthquakes.

Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, which ships on September 8, brings Big Fish Games’ casual mystery series to the Nintendo DS for the first time. Players use the touchscreen to find hidden items and investigate a cast of characters to find the rightful heir to a million-dollar fortune. MillionHeir will also make use of the Nintendo DS’s built-in microphone and includes a multiplayer mode.

Due September 29, Kirby Super Star Ultra for the Nintendo DS features new graphics and adds new cutscenes to a remake of the pink mascot’s SNES debut, Kirby Super Star. In addition to the game’s main quest to defeat villains King Dedede and Meta Knight, the game will feature new modes including Revenge of the King and Meta Knight Ultra. Three multiplayer mini-games and multiplayer support via local wireless have also been added.

Said Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, Cammie Dunaway: "Nintendo's game libraries continue to grow at a rapid pace. Wario stars in a great new platformer, Kirby enthusiasts get an updated version of a fan favorite, there's a new mystery for Mystery Case Files aficionados, and baseball gets a few new Mario-style twists."
