Next Assassin's Creed not coming right away
Depending on where your opinions reside in this post-Assassin's Creed world, the thought of a sequel may or may not be of interest. As such, the following news may or may not be annoying: Forbes has posted (via Kotaku) an interview with Lauren Detoc, Ubisoft's North American president, in which he said, in regards to the inevitable Assassin's Creed sequel, "When we bring it back, there will be more anticipation for it."
Detoc sounds aware of the mixed reception among critics and gamers alike. Hopefully this means Assassin's Creed 2 will fix whatever issues the original had so we can all enjoy it.
In regards to the absence of Prince of Persia games in recent years, Detoc noted, "As we get bigger, we can give it more breathing room." If more breathing room also means time to give the franchise more interesting turns, like the new, colorful incarnation, and less not-so-interesting turns, we're all for it.
