The rumors were true. Microsoft just made it official: Halo 3 will be released on September 25. And Europe will see it one day later, on September 26.
This puts Halo’s 3 release about a month before Grand Theft Auto IV and several of the year’s other big game releases.
“Halo 3 is much more than a video game release; it’s the biggest entertainment event of the year,” said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business, who, if you remember, said essentially the same thing about Halo 2 when it released three years ago. “On September 25, we intend to deliver a finale that will go down in entertainment history and leave people around the world with an experience that will be shared and enjoyed for years to come.”
