Halo 3 console, SKU Pricing, Contents
Microsoft has informed 1UP the headset included with the new Halo 360 SKU is a wired headset. The wireless set shown with the SKU at E3 is a product that will be sold seperately. More info on the new SKU can be found at Microsoft’s new official Halo 360 website.To reiterate, the only difference between this new SKU and the Premium SKU is the inclusion of a Play and Charge Kit ($20), an HDMI port, and the new paint job… and the extra $50 on the price tag.
Here’s the official word from Microsoft on what will be included in the Halo SKU:
* Wireless 360 controller colored green-and-gold to match the console
* 20gig hard drive
* Headset
* Play and Charge Kit
* HDMI
* “and more”
Pictures from E3 showed a wireless headset with the new unit, but Microsoft’s announcement does not clarify whether the included headset will definitely be wireless. Beyond that, the only addition from the Premium 360 SKU is the Play and Charge Kit, which normally retails for $15-20, and an HDMI port.
Currently Microsoft is offering up no further details on what that mysterious “and more” might include, but 1UP will keep you posted as word arrives.
