Australian Game Charts

For the Week Ending March 11

This post is from Ign.com

Strange things are afoot in the retail sector, we think. There were a couple of surprises in this week's game sales charts, courtesy of GfK - though Ghost Recon was the top-performing Xbox 360 title for the week, it still sat well behind several titles on the overall sales chart. The Nintendo DS also took a turn for the odd with big sales recorded on the latest Bratz title. Bratz? Seriously? Yes, it's true. Licensed games still sell by the truckload, and the DS is a very budget-friendly platform. It's a marriage made in heaven.

Elsewhere, Final Fantasy continued to sell well, as did Sims 2's latest expansion. Sonic and the Secret Rings took out top spot on the Wii charts, going some way towards relieving the drought of titles.
