Good news for Xbox Live Arcade fans: from tomorrow, gamers with a penchant for sidescrolling action and space combat can sate their lust for either, thanks to the release of Wing Commander Arena and Super Contra.
Wing Commander Arena, the first new Wing Commander game since the advent of the wheel, has a strong emphasis on multiplayer gaming, with up to 16 players per map across 8 different maps. It'll set you back 800 points, but as always, a demo will be available. There are also 200 GamerScore points up for grabs here.
Super Contra is all about the guns and the platforming. The game comes with both the original graphics sets, as well as new 'enhanced' graphics, ala many other releases already available. The game only costs 400 MS points and there are also 200 GamerScore points up for grabs here, too.
