E3 2008: Killzone 2 Multiplayer details

I have some footage of Killzone 2 multiplayer, which we all have been waiting for and it looks like Sony and Guerilla have showed off some promising footage of Killzone 2 and has also released multiplayer details on what we all could be expecting upon it's release date.

Bungie.net? Turn of events? No go!

Well I guess it is going to be a longer wait for Bungie to make their big annoucement . Which was suppose to happen today. As you all know in the past two days Bungie's site was up and running BUT the main page had some a couple of saying. As for Keep Calm. Keep it Clean, but now the site has changed into a Memo by Harold Ryan which was sent out last night 7:00pm stating that there plans to reveal something exciting has been changed by there publisher.

Bungie.net countdown tell us to clam down and keep it clean!!!


Seems like we're inching closer to that July 14th announcement Bungie is supposed to make today. Bungie.net has been updated with a new countdown, which refreshes with a new message:

* Keep it clean
* Please remain calm
* Services will resume
* No public access
* Emergency lights active
* Proceed with caution

What will it be? Halo Blue? A XBLA game? Or something entirely different?

New Xbox 360 Dashboard

John Schappert, head of Live services and software walked onto the stage and showed off the new Xbox Live Dashboard and Avatar system.

He stated the brand new interface for the dashboard, complete with 3D slides and.. yes, that's probably one of those Avatars. It's coming this Fall. "When people turn on their Xbox 360s this fall, they'll get an entirely new interface and dashboard, an entirely new Xbox through the magic of software

Final Fantasy 13 has been announced for the Xbox 360

Yes No BS here Final Fantasy 13 has been confirmed for the Xbox 360.

Square Enix has also announced three more RPG titles that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 which is Star Ocean Last Hope, The Last Reminant and Infinite Undiscovery

Print Ads hint at PS3



Two retail print ads have shown what appears to be three PlayStation 3 titles getting the "Greatest Hits" treatment. The trio shouldn't be surprising: Resistance, Motorstorm and Warhawk. A Kmart print ad shows box art with a red banner reading "Greatest Hits," while a Circuit City ad shows the same three games, sans new packaging, for $30. (You can tell it's the most recent ad since Soul Calibur IV is mentioned as coming out this week.) We expect an official announcement at Sony's press conference this week at E3 2008

Sega release info on a New RTS Stormrise


Is there some sort of wager going on in the developer community as to who can make real-time strategy games work on consoles first? EA has certainly been trying with ports of their Command & Conquer and Battle for Middle-Earth franchises, Microsoft has teamed up with Ensemble Studios for Halo Wars, Ubisoft is casting their lot with voice recognition for Tom Clancy's EndWar, and now Sega is entering the fracas with Stormrise, a new RTS for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

E3 2008 is coming

We are hours away from Microsoft kicking off E3 2008 today which I will be here at my home in Newport News, Virginia watching the Microsoft Press Conference on G4TV at 1:00pm EST and also will be searching thru a number of sites gaining information. If you don't have G4TV or wont be near a TV. Make sure to head over here for the latest news, rumors and hopefully the excitement. I will be trying to gather as much news, videos, screenshots I can of the event today and tomorrow. Which I will also be trying to squeeze in a Audio/Video feed of E3 and what I thought about the Microsoft Press Conference. Also will be discussing what should we be expecting at Nintendo and Sony's Press Conference.

Left 4 Dead heading to PS3

Currently, the Valve/EA zombie slasher production is only scheduled for the Xbox 360 and PC, but according to the latest "Bonus Round" episode over at GameTrailers, it's obvious that the game is also listed for the PlayStation 3. Earlier, EA did say it's very possible that Left 4 Dead might pop up for Sony's platform in "winter 2008," and Valve chimed in by saying a PS3 version was definitely "possible." (source- PSBeyond) Based on everything we've seen and heard about the game thus far, this is one title that could turn out to be a fantastic addition to the PS3's library. Alone in the Dark doesn't appear to be the spectacular survival/horror game we were hoping for - based on 360 reviews - so maybe instead of trying that one later this year, we can go for Left 4 Dead! Of course, it may have to compete with Capcom's blockbuster, Resident Evil 5, but, well...we all have our little obstacles to conquer.

Final Fantasy VII Rumor is back???

The rumor has once again returned, thanks to translated information taken from Japanese gaming magazine, Dengeki. According to the beloved character designer for the legendary franchise, Tetsuya Nomura, "a big announcement is being prepared for Final Fantasy VII," and it has nothing to do with the scheduled release of "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete." The announcement won't come at E3 next week, but at Square-Enix's private party - the weirdly labeled "DKS3713" - in August. Okay, so we've heard promising stuff like this before; it gets us all worked up and hopeful, and then they reveal some PSP spin-off or something, and we're all disappointed again. So it's probably not a good idea to start believing in what many are saying is the impossible, but...we can't help but cross our fingers once more.

We all had heard earlier this year that Square-Enix had more to announce regarding FFVII, but they never issued any details on the subject. Since that time, the remake rumor craze has died down, but now it's back in full force. Could this really be it? Could the remake we've all wanted for years become a reality

Apple iPhone 3G Launch

I know pretty much at this time right now everyone has there hands on the Apple iPhone 3G and pretty much in the next few hours to days. You will start to see reviews of likes and dislikes. Which I have to say as of yet I still don't own a cell phone. Yes at one point of time I owned a pay as you go, but never had a cell phone where I made montly payments. Right now I feel the iPhone will be the first cell phone I will own and be thrilled about.

Leo Laporte a person I respect a lot has done a awesome coverage on the Apple iPhone 3G launch he pretty much started streaming yesterday at 11:00am and is continue to stream right now. Age of Conan Patch is today

As for you Age of Conan fans out there like myself was looking forward to the patch being released on tuesday. You might have noticed that it has been delayed and hopefully today will the release of the patch.

Reason of the delay is because of an issue identified by Funcom's Quality Assurance department. Furthermore, mr Tarib told the community that the various fixes (quite a few!) that the developers are working on for the game are "coming along nicely

PS3:Soul Calibur IV

I'm starting to gather up some conflicting reports concerning the data install for the upcoming Soul Calibur IV. As of now, the question is simple: is that 2.85GB install optional or mandatory, and could it be possible that it's optional for certain territories?

According to the Videogaming247 blog, the "current UK Soul Calibur IV PS3 code is optional, not mandatory as is being reported by US sites." ...okay, so does this mean it's optional everywhere? We've been told by other sources that the install is mandatory, regardless of where you live; nigh-on 3GB of data is going to have to be stored to the HDD if you wish to play. Now, this is probably going to spark more debate on the subject - remember that petition against mandatory game installs? - but we still don't have all the facts, obviously. Ubisoft is going to have to clear this up because the different reports are starting to confuse us. For now, most are simply willing to accept the fact that it's mandatory, and let's face it, most of us have the space to spare

Rumor: PSP Phone details?


The PSP phone is a concept that has been around for quite some time, and while we've had so-called announcements and revealings, Sony has debunked them every time. However, with E3 right around the corner, it is possible that Sony may be set to unveil this little beauty, known as the Sony Ericsson PSP Mobile Phone.

Sony's Home will be ready for fall and will be a full working service


Sony has come under a good bit of fire from the gaming community over the numerous delays surrounding the PlayStation Home beta. An occasional reminder that delays oftentimes help produce a better product than what would have otherwise been an incomplete experience wouldn't hurt, however.

New Halo will be announced at E3???

Bungie Day may be looking nice, but if Sarcastic Gamer's source is correct, it'll be topped a mere week later.

The source delivered a two-fold revelation, saying that 1) Halo 4 is in-development at Bungie and 2) that we'll likely hear Marty O'Donnell's blaring score at some point during Microsoft's E3 press conference -- I'm betting that it'll happen when Halo 4 is announced

First DC Universe MMO Screen for PC

In case you missed it earlier this week, Sony Online updated its Myspace page with some new media for DC Universe Online -- including the first ever screens for the game. While they're small and don't show any gameplay, they do give you a sense of Jim Lee's visual approach for the PC and PS3 MMO.
