Sony Loses Devil May Cry 4?

X360F is reporting that the latest Playstation Magazine has an article discussing the future of Devil May Cry 4 and if it will remain a PS3 exclusive.

PSM is reporting that Capcom will be showing some more Microsoft love and will be bringing the series to the Xbox 360.

Capcom has been making a killing on the Xbox 360 with both Dead Rising and Lost Planet. They probably see the huge potential of bringing a big franchise like Devil May Cry over to the Xbox 360. But make sure to keep in mind that as of this moment this is simply a rumor, but it’s a rumor that kind of makes sense.

New 360 coming in late 2007?

In a new edition of "Windows Weekly", Paul Thurrott says that a new version of the Xbox 360 will be coming in late 2007 and that only the new 360 will have the ability to use IPTV. In addition to a new Xbox, Paul states a larger hardrive is in the works.

Well this is going to be a BIG deal for already owned 360 owners if they want to start using the IPTV and cannot use it without the new 360. Come on Microsoft!!! What else is next we need the new 360 to purchase the new and large harddrive. Come on!!! What is up with this.

Well, When I have more information on this. I will keep you updated.

Ahh, Man this is not cool.

Lost Planet sells 1 million copies

"Friday 12 January 2007 - even though Lost Planet is out in stores across Europe from today onwards, its doing extremely well. Fisco has stated that the game, made by Capcom, has sold over 1.040.000 copies in the US and Europe together, and has therefore reached the one million limit in no-time..."

WOW if this is true, What a great start Microsoft is going to kick off the New Year! Also you have to give the most credit to Capcom. When I receive full confirmation on this I will be sure to let you all know!!

Stay tuned!

Konami cancels games for PS3 and Wii

Konami appears to have cleared the development decks a bit with the "cancellation" of several PlayStation 3 and Wii titles.

The games mentioned were Gradius Series, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball, "New Action Game" and "New Role Playing Game" (all PS3) along with "New Action Adventure Game 2" and "Role Playing Game" (both Wii).

Konami UK was unable to comment.

Reported in Famitsu, in a story partly translated by IGN, the loss of a few unnamed games and a couple of PS3 projects in working-title phase has been described as "massive cancellations" in some circles.

But if you ask us it's probably more of a housekeeping update - a few pencilled lines of ambition scratched away absently with an eraser as a company takes stock, and not the exciting orgy of panic and self-doubt that's been its portrait.

Konami continues to support both Wii and PS3 with various titles, including headliners like Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Its first Wii title Eledees (known as Elebits in the US) is due out in Europe this spring.

Um, This is interesting news that I will like to get more information on. Also find out what's up and why they are commenting on this issue.

Microsoft Bought Capcom???

Well in the Rumor mill, There has been several threads in various forums. That finally Microsoft has purchase Capcom. Well after I have done some searching on the web and called Capcom to see if I could get a confirm on it. As I expected I got a "NO COMMENT" response. Well what does that mean? Nothing!!! Bascially it could be two things the rumor is false or Capcom is not yet to release any details. This has been a rumor that has been coming here and there for the past couple of months now. What stir this rumor even more in the past is that Microsoft has been going around looking for companies to buy. Yes they bought Rare so thats what started this hole thing.

Now just imagine if Capcom is bought buy Microsoft, Just think... I give you a second to think

Peter Moore Bashes Sony's Online Abilities

Microsoft may want to give its execs a clothing stipend, 'cause it seems like Peter Moore and Chris Satchell are getting a wee bit big for their britches. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, the duo thoroughly trashed Sony's online (dis)abilities, calling the PlayStation 3's online component a "disaster." But wait. It gets better

Capcom's executive vice-president and head of consumer software Mark Beaumont had the following to say: "When you're at the front-end of a hardware cycle, people are willing to take more of an experiment in what games they'll try. Use a 360 Controller on your PS3

Internet denizen by the handle 'diabolix' has managed to develop a driver allowing PlayStation 3 owners using Linux to use a wired Xbox 360 controller instead of the SIXAXIS controller. They've tested the driver using the SNES emulator Snes9x on Fedora Core 5, but we stress the it's a wired controller and not a wireless one -- blasted wireless protocols getting in the way again and again

iPhone Already Gathering Gaming Interest

When Apple head Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone yesterday (talk about a PlayStation 3-level price shocker), heads turned. It's of little surprise, then, that MCV talked to a few mobile game developers who have already started looking at Apple's new gizmo. The kinds of games we're talking about are licensed mobile products like 24: The Game, though, not a new Metal Gear Solid.

Still, the company's products are hip and it wouldn't be a surprise to see companies like Capcom, who have started moving more heavily into the mobile space, leveraging their franchises

Playground Fight Escalated, Sony Fires back at Microsoft!!!

Oh, boy. Did anyone really expect Sony to take Microsoft's comments yesterday without jabbing back? If there's anything we've learned in recent years, executives (besides Nintendo, it seems) love trash talking and riling up the Internet fanboys. Yesterday, Microsoft VP Peter Moore said Sony didn't have the talent to design an online service like Xbox Live.

C'mon, Sony, show us what you got

Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2

Though CES isn't the biggest gaming trade-show around, Microsoft is always willing to pimp the 360 when opportunity allows. Today at CES, Gerry Block and Jessica Chobot went hands-on with a demo release of Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360 and, of course, the Xbox 360 Red Octane guitars.

The game, as you've likely read before, looks and plays much like the PS2 predecessor, though the added resolution of the 360 makes the background visuals much, much clearer. Jess and I played through Wasted Life one of the newly announced 360-specific tracks and were quite pleased with its layout and styling

Zune to play Games?

Zune was a bit of a disappointment really. In the weeks up until its unveiling, the world (well, Internet forums) was ablaze with millions of people (a few) predicting that Microsoft was set to throw its giant hat into the handheld gaming ring. Unfortunately the reality was an MP3-player that's pretty much like an iPod.

However, in a move that could quell some of that initial disappointment, Microsoft Executive Peter Moore has revealed you'll be playing games on Zune next year. Arguing that the Zune's screen will be better adapted to gaming than the iPod's, Moore went on to enthuse: "I love the interface, I love the screen." Although he didn't confirm what kind of games you'll be able to play, he did say that Microsoft will start releasing titles within 18 months

Microsoft Throws Spanner into HDMI Rumor

Last week hearts and minds of 360 owners were sent fluttering into overdrive thanks to rumours of a revised console. A photograph purporting to be from a reliable source showed what some people had been silently dreaming about at night - a HDMI port and a bigger hard drive.

But like some kind of horrific monster that preys on children's thoughts, Microsoft's Christ Satchell has turned those dreams into nightmares. "At the moment, everything you might have seen is just looking at our experimentation back in Redmond, not really a product that we're thinking about announcing," he told Gamespot. We're now imagining scientists in lab coats pouring strangely coloured liquid from test tubes into the console's disc drive and waiting to see if it explodes

GOW Maps!

Microsoft today announced that new downloadable content is ready to go for Epic's monster Xbox 360 title Gears of War. From early Thursday, January 11 in Australia, and January 10 in the States, gamers will have access to a new content pack on Xbox Live Marketplace. And yes, it's free. Huzzah!

What's under the hood? Two new maps for a start. The first, Raven Down, takes place on the bombed out city streets surrounding the crash site of a Raven Helicopter. With densely clustered car wrecks and detritus providing ample cover points, the map sees Delta Force make their way in from multiple access points to search for survivors. The second, Old Bones, looks to take on an almost survival horror tone, with a majestic old museum as the setting. The Locust Horde want to take it apart, further eradicating any record of humanity off the face of Sera, while Delta Force, naturally, will do anything to stop that happening. Also in the pack, an introductory video hosted by Epic's CliffyB

HDMI Xbox 360??

Umm this might a big news from owners already like myself with a Xbox 360 there has been several rumors of a Xbox 360 console with a HDMI input, Which makes me think now and I have just one question now. Being that the console is about one year old which is not old at all. What are you doing do with the owners of this current console and also being that xmas has just passed what answer you have for us? I know you all gave us a 1 year extra for our console? But are you going to give us some type of discount on our consoles if you do have another console on the way?

If anyone has comments please let me know. I will have more on this story and I will also be heading to CES and hopefully I could get some answers.
